Thiago Nicodemo implements data policy in Brazil developed during his research stay at the Freie Universität Berlin

Our GUMELAB partner Thiago Nicodemo, who is currently is General Director of the Archive of the State of São Paulo, professor of Theory of History at the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (Campinas, Brazil) and director of the Center for Digital Humanities has implemented the data policy in Brazil that he developed during a postdoctoral stay at the Institute for Latin American Studies under the tutelage of Stefan Rinke. During his stay in Berlin, Thiago Nicodemo, who received a grant from the Humboldt Foundation, carried out studies on digital collections and their global implications. He also did research on digitization and non-human analytical methods for big data analysis. Now, at the São Paulo State Public Archive Nicodemo and his colleagues are working on technical and sustainable solutions for the transition to digital government. Nicodemo says that "digital transformation is an irreversible process and we must be better and better prepared to face this challenge".
